The first day of October and the odometer reads 7,651 kilometres. My goal for the year is to ride 10,000 kilometres.

On target and the old bone pegs are riding strong.

Recently, I was inspired by the 100-year-old man who rode 100 kilometres.

The Frenchman, Robert Marchand, completed the distance at an average speed of 23 km/h. He attributes his longevity and good health to his love of wine and women.

Initially I thought that the ride may have been a publicity stunt for the 100th edition of Le Tour, but the ride it seems is genuine.

Congratulations, Monsieur Marchand! You are an inspiration!
